March 2026 SVM, Board of Directors Elections

There are will be two BOD positions open to be voted upon and installed in March 2026 during the Annual Membership Meeting.

Becoming a member of the BOD is a wonderful opportunity to help govern this unique community. No experience is necessary. To be eligible to serve a two year term on the BOD a member must own a home or parcels with in the Association boundaries of Section 30. A potential board candidate must be a member in good standing with the Association, not owning past due association assessments or water bills.
Candidate Process:

Interested BOD candidates are required to submit a typed information candidate biography. The candidate biography will be to be posted onto Town Square, emailed and mailed out to the members of the association.

Interested candidates will need to e-mail their individual biographies to Colby Management (frontdesk@colbymgt.com ) and to the SVM-BOD (bod@saguaroview.org) by 2/2/2026.

If you are considering becoming a candidate, I suggest that you attend ‘free online’ board member training, provided by the Mulcahy Law Firm https://www.mulcahylawfirm.com/. The most recent video segments are titled 2025 HOA boot camps can be found at the following link https://www.mulcahylawfirm.com/videos/. There are a total of 11 segments (numbered 1-11). This will give you the most contemporary information on state laws, regulations related to governing our Association.

Election Bench Mark Dates

2/2/2026- Deadline for candidate Bio’s
2/9/2026- Colby mailing out ballots to the membership
3/17/2026- Last day to return mail-ballots.
3/2026- TBD Annual Meeting & Election Results- the Library will not allow reservations further than 15 days out. A new venue will be considered.

Saguaro View Homeowners Association is a small rural community located in Surprise, Arizona. We are very proud of our beautiful views of the White Tank’s and the Estrella Mountains in the distant southern horizon and the scenic Hieroglyphic Mountains with their boundless trails and washes providing our immediate northern backdrop. The monsoon storms that develop over these mountains in the summer months offer spectacular lightning displays. The surrounding desert landscape with its many saguaros is a continual reminder of the diverseness and richness of the Sonoran desert.

Moreover, while we share a beautiful area to live we must also share the critical responsibility of managing our association. Our members, collectively, own and operate a NON-PROFIT PUBLIC water system company. Which supplies safe drinking water to our homes & parcels. Our water system is continuously maintained and planned upgrades are proactively done; to ensure the highest quality water delivery to our growing community & to effectively meet our needs – DECADES into the future!!!

Action: City of Surprise public road right of way dedication procedure

Anyone interested in dedicating right of way should call in with their parcel or address. If it is an area where Surprise is collecting right of way, City shall prepare a legal description and exhibit, and a quit claim deed. Once property owner has signed and returned, it shall be recorded and a copy sent to property owner – simple as that; so please help make a difference!!
